A man was struck and killed Sunday night in South Daytona, according to the police department. The crash happened around 10:37 p.m. in the 1900 block of S. Ridgewood Ave. According to the South Daytona Police Department, Tommy L. Cox was hit by a vehicle and taken to Halifax Hospital, where he died. The department said it does not suspect foul play or impaired driving in the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call the police department at 386-322-3030.

A man who volunteered with a South Florida police department is under arrest. According to the Sebastian Police Department, Arnold Flannery was arrested Tuesday morning and faces 50 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.. Flannery was a member of the Sebastian Police Department volunteer program since January 2022. The police department said it, along with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search of Flannery’s home in the 4000 block of Limerick Court in Sebastian. Flannery was
