A man in his mid-40s died Saturday morning after being struck by an off-duty Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office police officer’s vehicle on his way to work in the New Town neighborhood. JSO said at 5:21 a.m., the officer was traveling west on Kings Road in a marked police vehicle when the man walked out and was struck by the car. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that occurred Thursday night. The sheriff’s office report notes just before 9:30 p.m., a Honda Accord driven by a 46-year-old man was traveling northbound on Seminole Boulevard and made a left turn on Genessee Avenue. At some point, the Honda drove off the roadway and collided with a parked, unoccupied vehicle that was properly parked. At 11:39 p.m., a passerby called 911 to report the collision. Two drivers are hospitalized with serious injuries after colliding head-on Friday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said. At 5:02 a.m., troopers said a 21-year-old Winter Haven man in a Ford F150 was traveling in the wrong direction in the eastbound lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard. At the same time, a 48-year-old Illinois man in a Chrysler Pacifica was traveling east in the eastbound lanes on the same road. Officials said at the intersection of Rhodes Road, the two vehicles collided head-on.

Police have arrested the woman who they say crashed into a good Samaritan helping a stranded motorist in Fort Lauderdale months ago, causing life-altering injuries, before she fled the scene. Now, 29-year-old T S L M is behind bars, accused of leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury and other charges. The incident happened just after midnight back on Aug. 11 when the victim, Y A, saw someone pushing a truck in the 2300 block of Northwest 6th Street.

A Pinellas County deputy was injured in a crash Thursday night, landing him and another driver in the hospital. According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, an unidentified driver pulled out in front of the deputy, who was in a PCSO cruiser, causing the crash. Both the deputy and driver were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. Images taken from the scene show damage to the front left of the vehicle. This remains an ongoing investigation.
