A man was arrested on Saturday for attempting to wreck a truck while a woman was driving, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office announced.  A man died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after shooting a woman Saturday evening in Escambia County, according to the sheriff’s office. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after the passenger in a car was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Lake County early Sunday morning. According to FHP, a 2024 Chevy Malibu traveling eastbound on County Road 48 (Leesburg Highway) approaching the intersection of County Road 33 failed to stop at a stop sign and ran off the roadway. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a Sunday morning fatal crash on North Pine Hills Road in Orange County. FHP said the driver of a 2010 Honda Civic traveling southbound on North Pine Hills Road lost control while negotiating a curve near Balboa Drive. The Civic then ran off the roadway and struck a concrete utility pole. The driver, a 20-year-old Orlando man, was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
