A man was shot and killed following an altercation at a gas station in Pompano Beach. The incident occurred at the Race Trac located at 599 West Atlantic Boulevard around 5 p.m., Sunday. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue crews located 37-year-old Brian Semil suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Broward Health North where he was pronounced deceased. According to Broward Sheriff’s Office, Semil tried to forcibly enter a vehicle that was occupied by a mother and her children.

A 15-year-old driver was killed Sunday night in a crash on I-95 northbound near J. Turner Butler Boulevard, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The agency added that the driver of the other involved vehicle, a white Honda Civic, ran from the scene and remains unaccounted for. A 17-year-old was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after officials said he was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in SW Miami-Dade Sunday. According to police, shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday, police received a ShotSpotter alert at 17900 block of SW 104th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a 17-year-old with apparent gunshot wounds. Rescue crews took two people to the hospital after, police said, they accidentally shot themselves at an outdoor shooting range in South Miami-Dade. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting after a man was injured on Sunday afternoon in North Lauderdale. The shooting was outside of a house along Southwest 71 Avenue and Fifth Street. Deputies suspected the shooting was accidental and said the man suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A witness said the victim was putting a gun, possibly in his waistband, when it discharged. A man was arrested for a fatal shooting in Broward County over the weekend. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office said in a Sunday press release that 32-year-old Djay Ramawad of Pembroke Pines turned himself in for the murder of 28-year-old Kevin Hasnali of Sunrise. He is currently facing first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a firearm charges.
