TAMPA, Fla. – Florida Highway Patrol troopers are searching for a motorcyclist who killed a pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash last week in Hillsborough County.  More than a week after the deadly crash, FHP released surveillance video of the incident. The hit-and-run happened on Hillsborough Avenue near George Road shortly after midnight on March 18, according to troopers.  Investigators said the 32-year-old man from El Salvador was trying to cross Hillsborough Avenue when the motorcycle hit him at a high rate of speed.

DeLAND, Fla. – An 81-year-old DeLand man was struck and killed early Friday in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The fatal wreck happened around 5 a.m. on westbound International Speedway Boulevard (U.S. 92) near Lanscam Lane, just east of DeLand. PALMETTO, Fla. — A deadly crash involving a semi-truck happened early Friday morning in Palmetto near the intersection with Piney Point Road. The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles said a Land Rover traveling south on US 41 at high speed lost control at the highway’s curve and rear-ended a commercial motor vehicle parked on the side of the road loaded with bananas.
