A shooting injured one person early Sunday morning in Broward County. The shooting was at about 3:30 a.m., in Hollywood. Police officers responded to the area of North Dixie Highway and Collins Court after a 911 call. According to the Hollywood Police Department, a “male victim” was wounded. Hollywood Fire Rescue personnel also responded and HPD detectives were investigating the shooting. According to Ocala Fire Rescue, firefighters responded to a home in the 2600 Block of Northeast First Avenue just before 11:30 p.m. after a neighbor alerted authorities of flames at the house. “I heard them as they were moving, a little bit later there was a fire rescue ambulance truck that went by as well,” shared Jeffrey Lyon, a nearby resident.

A Florida man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Sumter County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The fatal wreck happened around 7:45 a.m. on County Road 476 at SW 52nd Street near Bushnell. The FHP said a 32-year-old Inverness man was driving a Chevrolet SUV east on C. A bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
