Deputies have arrested a man in the killing of 52-year-old Francis Biegaj in Spring Hill after a dispute turned violent on Tuesday afternoon. The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) received a 911 call from a family member at about 4:30 p.m. reporting a man was bleeding from his arm. Hernando County Fire Rescue (HCFR) arrived to find the man suffering from a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. Authorities transported Biegaj for medical treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries.

A 4-year-old boy is hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself in Poinciana on Thursday, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said. A 61-year-old man from Live Oak is dead following a crash Thursday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers. Troopers say the crash happened just after 9:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 129. Investigators report the 61-year-old was driving a pickup truck when he collided with an SUV that was stopped in a construction zone.
