Photo: (WJXT) A 60-year-old Green Cove Springs man died Thursday night after he was struck by a vehicle while walking across the northbound lanes of U.S. 17 near Little Ruth Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 9:02 p.m. An 18-year-old Green Cove Springs man was driving north in the left lane when the front of his sedan hit the pedestrian, FHP said. The driver was not injured. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Photo: Uc Breaking News A Cape Coral Police Department vehicle was involved in a crash at the intersection of Santa Barbara Boulevard South and Nicholas Parkway on Thursday night. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, three vehicles were involved and there was a non-incapacitating injury. Near the 25 milepost, a 39-year-old St. Petersburg man was walking in the inside travel lane of I-275 at about 9 p.m. for an unknown reason, an FHP report stated. A 36-year-old Ormond Beach man was killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon in Lake County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
