North Port police responded to a vehicle crash that left two children hospitalized on Tuesday morning. The vehicle crash happened on April 7 at the intersection of Atwater Boulevard and Adderton Avenue, where a vehicle struck the two children who were riding their e-scooters. North Port police said both children have been transported to the hospital for their injuries. The investigation is ongoing. A driver was killed after crashing into a building near the Merritt Island Causeway on Monday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Rapper and singer Offset was in stable condition after he was shot Monday near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. A Florida woman found herself in a frightening situation after her vehicle drove off a runway and into a retention pond on Sunday. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says a little after 9 p.m., 911 dispatchers received a phone call from a frantic woman who said she had lost control of her vehicle, causing it to enter a retention pond at 70th and Hartford Street.
