RUSKIN, Fla. – One man is dead, and two others are in the hospital following a single-vehicle crash Sunday night. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 34-year-old man from Ruskin was driving a Honda Civic northbound on the I-75 exit ramp to US 301 at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle.  Troopers say the car spun into the separator between the ramp and the mainline, struck two support signs and split in two pieces.  FHP

Troopers are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian Thursday night in Osceola County. It happened shortly after 9 p.m. at Narcoossee Road and Jones Road near Saint Cloud. Investigators said a Honda Civic traveling southbound on Narcoossee struck a woman who was trying to cross the road.  A 37-year-old Mims woman died Thursday after being struck by an SUV while riding a bicycle in Brevard County, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at 6:56 p.m. on U.S. 1, north of Glenn Road, troopers said. According to an FHP crash report, the woman was riding the bicycle north in the center grass median of U.S. 1 while the SUV approached in the inside lane, also traveling north.
