Police have reopened the eastbound lanes of the MacArthur Causeway in Miami Beach after a violent crash sent a motorcyclist to the hospital. A traffic camera captured Miami Beach Police officers diverting eastbound traffic at the intersection with Fountain Street, Sunday night. Investigators said this was a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle just east of Fountain Street. Paramedics transported the driver of the motorcycle to Ryder Trauma Center. At least one person was airlifted to the hospital following a vehicle collision on northbound I-75 in northwest Miami-Dade. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Florida Highway Patrol units responded to the crash on northbound I-75 at Miami Gardens Drive in northwest Miami-Dade, at around 10:00 a.m., Friday. A 26-year-old Satsuma woman died after colliding with a tree on Old US-17 near Tompkins Road in Putnam County, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The car was travelling westbound on the road and for unknown reasons, it crossed over the south shoulder where it went into the tree line and struck a tree.
